Heaven in a Bowl
I have discovered one of the best things I have ever eaten while working at TGI Friday's. It is called a Classic Wedge Salad. You start with a big wedge (hence the name) of yummy, crunchy iceberg lettuce which happens to be one of my favorites. To that you add rich bleu cheese crumbles, creamy bleu cheese dressing, fresh cut tomatoes and crispy bacon! Oh so delicious, I have decided to call it heaven in a boll (because that is what we serve them in at Friday's). It takes all my will power to not eat one every time I work because we all know how good bleu cheese and bacon are for me (not good if you were wondering). if you haven't tried one you should because they are so yummy!

Crazyness
As I was so kindly reminded my older sister I haven't shared many of my daily adventures lately, even though I have had quite a few. Since my last post I graduated, had my records put on hold and then released, had my degrees awarded to me, got a puppy, went back to work at Lane Bryant and was assigned another zone to write for the Salt Lake Tribune. So as of late I have four (yes four jobs) and very few days off. Oh! And my favorite boy in the world (John of course) bought me a Nook and I love it! I have already read a whole book on it, it is quite a handy, fun little devise. I will work harder to update my blog daily and the name indicates from now on, after all it wouldn't hurt to keep my writing skills up to date.

I'm Back!!!
Well Hello again. In the name of graduating and not losing my mind something had to be cut for the last month and this blog happened to be it. However, now I have graduated and have yet to find a full-time job I will have plenty of time to update the goings-ons in my life. I recently moved into a new apartment and I love it! After living in a studio for a year it is super nice to have a bedroom and not sleep in my living room/kitchen. I am in the process of looking for a job but haven't had much luck yet. Not much else has happened, but as always I will keep you posted.

Dear Professors
Dear Professors,
I realize you have an agenda that includes ruining students lives and forcing as much useless information into our brains as possible but I have a request. It would be nice if for the next three weeks you stop expecting so much out of us as students. We are in the home stretch of the semester and some of us in the home stretch of our college careers, and we won't nothing more than to study as little as possible yet still graduate. Also, I have found that you as professors seem to get together and figure out the best way possible to cause students as much stress as possible. Scheduling several tests in the same week, in conjunction with big assignments is the surest way to make sure students fail. But maybe that is your motive, make us fail, so we have to come back, pay ridiculous amounts of money, in turn padding your salary. It's an excellent plan but if will not work! We will prevail.
That is all

The Job Hunt
Although I have known I'm graduating for quite sometime now I have put off the hunt for a "real job" until just recently. Maybe I wasn't ready to let go of my awesome college job. I mean really, tell me being sports editor isn't the coolest job in the world? Maybe I was just thinking that I wasn't really going to graduate and I would be able to live in the limbo that is student life forever. Either way the time has come to accept the fact that I must move on. I have sent dozens and dozens of emails to potential employers, written and rewritten cover letters and looked over my resume so many times the image is engrained in my head. I must say I'm exhausted. Applying for jobs is like a whole other job in and of itself. That makes me a full time student, full time sports editor, an intern, a part time scoreboarder for the Deseret News and a job applicant. It's no wonder that I am going crazy.

April Fools
I must say that it is pretty awesome when you can play an April Fool's joke on the entire Facebook world without actually doing anything. This happened to me today. I was wasting my time at the Chronicle office as usual, when I had to call my mom to tell her my super brilliant plan (more on that later). I being as excited as I was left my facebook account open on my computer for approximately 15 minutes while I was out in the hall talking on the phone. I come back to find my status changed, stating my engagement and several comments on my page. I got a horrified phone call from my mother about an hour later, priceless. All without having to think of, plan, and execute a joke. Thanks Mike, Bryan, Trent and Joe.

Leggings
I am almost positive I should be credited with the starting of the legging and mini skirt (or in my case t-shirt dresses) trend back in the early 90's. I rocked the legging, short skirt and jelly shoes look almost everyday of my young life, expect of course when weather required real shoes. So I wasn't at all shocked when the trend made a comeback a few years ago, but at that point leggings were still being used as an undergarment, something you wear a skirt, dress or very long shirt over. Today on my way from the gymnastics team practice to the chronicle office I passed 5, count them five, girls wearing leggings as pants. And I asked myself since when did this become acceptable? Since when is it okay to wear tight-like pants in public? Fine if you want to wear spandex pants to the gym or around your own house, but out in public just seems strange to me. Maybe its because my thighs are so big I wouldn't be caught dead, anywhere, wearing such a thing. But I still think, even skinny girls need to wear something over their leggings. After all the trend was originally created to be worn under something, so why destroy a classic?
